Gautam is a doctoral candidate at the School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology-Mandi. His research focuses on how entrepreneurial personality traits influence venture performance, while also considering other related personality dynamics. He currently serves as the Head of Data for GUESSS India 2025, where he leads data exploration and transformation efforts to strengthen strategies for national-level data collection and analysis. A serial entrepreneur, Gautam has co-founded multiple student-run ventures in the agritech and edtech sectors, scaling them from inception to eight-figure revenues. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he worked as a lecturer in accounts and taxation at a nonprofit, government-led university in India.
